Small Green Fest is an annual celebration of all things green and an opportunity for the Austin community to come together to see the latest in Environmentally Friendly Products and Services, see what local schools are doing to help the environment and have fun with family in a carnival-like atmosphere with vendors and food trailers that offer products that promote health and wellness. Small Green Fest benefits the signature program at Clint Small Jr. Middle School - The Green Tech Academy.
Small Middle School is located in Southwest Austin and is a public school serving students in grades 6 through 8. The Green Tech Academy is an elective program focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The Green Academy focuses on preparing students to be stewards of the Earth and we have an award-winning environmental studies program.
Small Green Fest is mostly outdoors, so dress comfortably and for the weather. There will be activities both indoors and out, a large vendor area around the Live Music Main Stage on the outdoor track, a food trailer area, an Environmental Products and Services Showcase, and a Green Schools Showcase. Make and Take Booths will be stationed around the school and CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Children's Health) Activities for the whole family will take place in the school gym on the second floor. Door prizes of items to help you live healthier lives (bikes, camping gear, sports equipment, etc.) will be given away at 6:45 p.m. - must be present to win.
Your $10.00 donation for a wristband supports the CSMS Green Academy and allows participants access to all areas of the festival including the live music, CATCH Activities & door prizes and the “make-and- take” booths. Food, beverages and vendor products are at an additional cost.
